It is one of the most wonderful combinations in the entire outdoors. They usually come in hexagonal, square or rectangular structures (although it will have a lot to do with the shape of the hot tub itself). They come with open windows and a tall, diagonal roof. The standard spa gazebo is around fifteen feet in diameter, although it’s possible to get one that is much larger (and much smaller if you’d like). Traditional spa gazebos also carry a few other characteristics that are often seen, including: red cedar material (which makes up the bulk of the gazebo frame and border), Plexiglas windows that allow for greater flexibility, French doors and a skylight. Keep in mind however that these are just the characteristics of a standard, or traditional, spa gazebo and they are easily customizable to a certain person’s preferences.
One new feature that many homeowners have been using recently has to do with vinyl material. Instead of using the traditional (and expensive) red cedar base, they are using portable and easy to install vinyl. PVC Vinyl gives a spa gazebo a more modern, new look and they are incredibly easy to clean and maintain. With only a few of hour’s work a person can effectively disassemble wash and re-install their entire vinyl gazebo! They’re even portable, so if you are ever going to the beach or a friend’s house you can take it with you!
Spa gazebos are typically purchased in gazebo kits, which include all necessary materials along with easy to install instructions. These gazebo kits give anyone the chance to put together the structure, regardless of their experience with tools or building. In fact, even the most complicated and luxurious spa gazebos can take only a week-end to put together with enough work. Spa kits can be ordered online or bought from one of the many retailers in home and garden magazines. You also have the option of getting a free kit online, and buying the materials yourself from a shop (although this is a more difficult way to build a gazebo).
