Do you already have a gazebo? Do you have a cover or roof on it but need a replacement fast? Maybe your cover is falling apart or maybe it’s just outdated, either way getting replacement gazebo covers can improve the overall look of your gazebo and make it look brand new once again. If you need a new cover or canopy then don’t just toss out your entire gazebo, look around and see what you can find. Gazebo covers add so much to a gazebo, from privacy to bug repellency, so their effectiveness should not be overlooked.
The internet is a great starting place if you are looking for replacement gazebo covers because online marketplaces, such as EBay and Amazon, offer consumer based deals on many like products. There are many people that are selling full gazebos or pieces (such as the covers) at reasonable prices. There are just a few things you will want to be wary of if you are planning on shopping this way. Number one; make sure you are getting the proper size. Too many people buy covers that are either too small or too large. If in doubt, measure! It is far better to be safe then sorry in this case. Number two; look at shipping costs. Because covers can get fairly big, bulky and heavy you should be aware of how much you are being charged shipping when you buy a cover. Sometimes shipping will be so much it won’t be worth it to buy even a dirt cheap cover.
Replacement covers can also be bought from retail stores such as Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target and Home Depot. While you may find slightly higher prices through these stores you will be able to avoid shipping and pick up your cover today, not wait until next week.
Some people decide that buying a replacement gazebo cover just does not fit into their budget so they make one from scratch. It is possible to make your own gazebo cover and if you are knowledgeable with a sewing machine you can actually make your own cover for as little as $25. This is how you do it: Check EBay for fabric deals (look for outdoor fabric because this is the same stuff used on retail covers and it will last much longer then basic fabric) and then sew it in a large square shape. Try to imitate your current cover to get the most accurate cover. While it can be difficult to get any of the ‘wave’ or 3-D effects out of a hand made cover, it will often save you a few hundred dollars and you will get the satisfaction of making your own canvas canopy.
