Patio Gazebos - An Easy Way To Add Value To Your Home

People often struggle with deciding upon the many ways to add to their home. Home additions can add value to a home, bumping up its price tag almost instantly but it can also come with some major headaches. Home additions usually mean spending a whole bunch of money and a whole lot of construction that is usually out of your hands. But it doesn’t have to be this way, there is another way. Patio gazebos are a low-cost, low-risk way to add to your home in a much better way. What is a patio gazebo? A patio gazebo is basically a gazebo that is built directly onto a patio deck and depending on how large it is and how difficult it is to install it could cost as little as $2000-3000.

There are several different types of patio gazebos available, from covered enclosures to uncovered gazebos; from large to small. Uncovered gazebos are the cheapest to install because obviously there is less to them. Covered patio gazebos take a little more attention to detail and time to put on and they are often referred to as the fancier version.

The first step in installing a patio gazebo is to decide where you would like the structure to be set. If you have a smaller size deck you will probably want to consider one of the corners because it is much easier to construct a gazebo here. If you try to put a larger or even medium gazebo, in the center of a small deck you will almost have to re-root the entire patio deck. When you position the gazebo on one of the deck corners you are in effect getting it out of the way yet still in a prominent enough way where people will see it and enjoy it. If you have a bigger patio deck then you will have a larger luxury of choice. The bigger the patio the bigger of a playing field you have in terms of placing a patio gazebo. Many people take full advantage of large patios by placing their gazebo directly centered (justified) on their deck. This formation allows for greater spacing around the gazebo and it makes the structure the ‘centerpiece’ of the backyard.

While you may have an idea of what type of gazebo you want on your patio you should always try to match your actual patio deck with the gazebo that is coming in. In other words, don’t use a different style gazebo then the deck itself because it will look out of place and out of order. Matching the two together also consists of getting similar colors, although if you stay within the same shade you will usually be fine.

Patio gazebos are a great fit for nearly any patio deck and they add to a home’s value and usefulness, especially when it comes to enjoying the outdoors.
